Biological factors are the hereditary factors, such as your inherited longevity (e.g., genes dictate how long you live), your general health status (inherited depression tendencies, poor nutrition, lack of exercise, etc.); illnesses and level self-care.

Factors include such things as:

Factors that impact cognitive development in adulthood:

*The aging process and maturation (biological/heredity) affects cognitive develop. For example, studies of older adults explore how the mind adapts to the changes in sensory ability and mental speed that accompany aging.
