Education wise, students majoring in psychology receive a strong background in liberal arts education, preparing them for a number of careers besides therapy. In fact, specific occupations within the field of psychology are extremely varied.
For example, with the skills acquired, psychologists may consider careers in alternative fields such as law, recreation, business and clergy. They may work in such diverse areas as experimental, industrial and consulting.
