I’m sure everyone has situations where they reacted mindlessly and ran into unintended consequences. One that I remember clearly occured when I was in college and a friend of mine asked to borrow my car. Because I rarely drove my car at the time and was in the habit of lending and sharing things with my friends, I gave him the keys.
