Use the center of gravity method to find a location for the new EMS station.

Blairville’s city council is deciding on where to position a new emergency management services (EMS) station. The city has 10 landmark senior/community centers that play a large role in the city’s health plan (i.e., many go to the senior/community centers for advice, counseling, transportation, etc.). The new EMS station needs to be centrally located but must serve a dispersed and unevenly distributed population. Table 14.8 contains the senior/community center locales, overall usage numbers, and map coordinates. Use the center of gravity method to find a location for the new EMS station.
