On December 1st 2016 the unit coordinators of skill three of the correctional hospital in Nashville, Tennessee was informed of an alarming increase in patient falls within the last six moths. This change can, will and has had a negative impact on the facilities safety score. The safety score decreasing influences the facility public relations negatively. Patient falls while preventable can be very costly as Medicare and Medicaid do not cover expenses related to the falls.
